  JUNIOR FAIR BOARD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Program Overview
The Los Angeles County Fair Association Junior Fair Board Scholarship Program offers outstanding local high school students the unique opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of many aspects of business, including sales, marketing, development, public relations, information technology, accounting, operations, facility management and event production. The purpose of the Junior Fair Board program is to develop leadership skills, provide interactive learning opportunities and to develop an open channel of communication between the young leaders of tomorrow and the Los Angeles County Fair Association. In addition to 40 hours of internship experience, each Junior Fair Board member receives a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 which they can use to continue their education.

Fairplex Park is home to 17 days of live thoroughbred racing during the Fair and satellite wagering all from Hollywood Park, Santa Anita, Del Mar and other tracks across the country.
