The
big block Chevy sits just inches behind your
head. "I can do this," you remind yourself.
The lightson the tree flash yellow, thengreen.
You unleash the engine, and instantly it delivers
the power of 700 horses, 7500rpm of torque and
fury. The acceleration is breathtaking. Your
helmet is pressed deeply into the padded headrest.
Without the proper training and mental preparation
you'd probably quit. But for now your right foot
stays buried in the throttle. 60 mph comes and
goes in 1.8 seconds.
