Open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The 28,000-square-foot NHRA Motorsports Museum chronicles more than 50 years of American auto racing history and features vintage vehicles, uniforms, and other memorabilia. Museum admission is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors 60+ and children aged 6-15. Children 5 and under get in free. Parking is available at Gate 1 on McKinley Avenue.

FAIRPLEX GARDEN RAILROAD EXHIBIT |

|
The Fairplex Garden railroad is the oldest and largest outdoor model railroad in the United States. It is open free of charge to the general public on the first Sunday of each month November through July. It is located between the Grandstand and Building 4. Guests can park and enter through Gate 1 on McKinley Avenue. Visit the Fairplex Garden Railroad website at www.fgrr.org for more information.

HISTORIC TRAINS EXHIBIT |

The Historic Trains exhibit is the only place guests can see both the largest steam engine and the largest diesel locomotive ever to ride the rails. The Union Pacific’s 594-ton “Big Boy” 4014 steam-powered engine shares the spotlight with the 100-foot-long Union Pacific Centennial DD40X diesel-powered locomotive. Fairplex Park presents satellite wagering on thoroughbred racing from Hollywood Park, Del Mar, Santa Anita, Bay Meadows, and Golden Gate Park, in addition to quarter horse and harness racing from Los Alamitos and Cal Expo in Sacramento.
