Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2019 Los Angeles International Wine Competition.

The 2019 Los Angeles International Wine Competition received 2,350 wines from 800 wineries. There were a total of 155 Best of Class Awards, 519 Gold Medal Awards, 1,013 Silver Medal Awards and 535 Bronze Medal Awards. The competition received wines from 19 countries; Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Ukraine and the United States of America.

The public will have its first opportunity to taste the award-winning wines at CHEERS, a June fundraising event to benefit the education programs of The Learning Centers at Fairplex.



Wine, Spirits & Beer Marketplace at the LA County Fair

Taste the Gold Medal Winning Wines, beer and olive oils from the Los Angeles International Wine, Beer and Extra Virgin Olive Oil competitions. Learn more about the wines from the Los Angeles International Wine Competition Judges in one of the 35 Wine Education Classes.  Wine classes are taught by some of the best experts and chefs in the state. In each class Fair Guests will receive six wines and four complementary cheeses and they also will receive 1 Gold Medal Taste Ticket for the Gold Medal Tasting Bars.  Each guest will also receive a stamp in their wine passport, if they have eight stamps (eight classes) they are invited to the Passport Party, Sunday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. There’s also shopping and light dining for the gourmand in all of us.

Limited presale tickets will be sold online for the Wine Education classes. If a class is sold out or does not appear below, tickets will also be available at the door.
