Mojo's Wild & Crazy Lagoon

There is no business like monkey business. Put your zookeeper hat on and delve into the animated and interesting world of the Fair’s resident capuchin monkey Mojo at Mojo’s Wild & Crazy Lagoon. Situated on Monkey Island at the Lagoon, Mojo spends the day looking at people and sharing fun with her animal friends.

Flower & Garden Pavilion

Roll down the windows, slow the engine and enjoy the changing flora and fauna of the American Southwest! From pine forests and grasslands to desert scrub, the landscape along Route 66 has a surprise around every bend. The Pavilion celebrates the flowers and plants that set the desert floor ablaze with color. Unique wildflowers in a multitude of colors light up the mountain tops while cacti of every shape and color decorate the terracotta terrain and bring even more excitement to the beauty of each passing mile.

America's Great Outdoors

Getting your Kicks on Route 66 has never been so exciting! Join us as we explore the national parks, monuments and historical sites along the mother road and get an up close and personal experience with the varying terrain of the Great Outdoors. From the Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest in Arizona and Pecos National Historical Park in New Mexico or even Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield in Missouri each state has something special to share.

The Farm at Fairplex

This year the garden railroad will travel along Route 66 and guests will step inside and experience iconic art, scenes and historic sites along the Mother Road. The First Transcontinental Railroad in the United States was built in the 1860s, linking the well-developed railway network of the Eastern coast with rapidly growing California. Did you know that our miniature railroad has been a Fair exhibit since 1924 and tells the story of how the trains helped to form the great state of California?

The Rock Candy Factory
The Science of Rocks & Candy

Get a glimpse of what life was like growing up in the early days of settlers in this new exhibit in The Farm. Learn about California’s history as you go back in time in this interactive exhibit filled with some of the most beloved professions of our past. Visit with the blacksmith, leather maker and reenactors of days gone by. Don’t forget to buzz on over to meet the Bee Keepers in the Bee Barn.

Discovery Cubes Motion Commotion

Hands-on science education that delights, challenges, and encourages kids? Explore the Discovery Cube's Motion Commotion. Students will use the engineering design process to plan and build a balloon rocket that can follow a predictable path. Students will look to the natural world to help in their design process.

The Millard Sheets Art Center’s Alt 66 features unique immersive art installations that are designed for students to experience Route 66 in a way they never thought possible.

National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)
Motorsports Museum

The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum features seven galleries exhibiting dozens of automobiles that are sure to excite, entertain and inspire. For students, the museum provides a unique and exciting context for the discussion of Science, the history of Transportation, Technology and applied Engineering principles, Art and design in the automotive culture and Mathematics (STEAM). The Museum brings to life the stories and objects that represent the truly unique culture of innovation, invention, risk taking, entrepreneurship and adventure that is American hot rodding.

On the Boulevard

Did you know that a portion of Route 66 is named after labor leader César Chávez? Join LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes and its newest cultural and nutritional education program, LA Troka: Sembrando Cultura y Nutrición in an exploration of César Chávez, Dolores Huerta, and their fight for the rights of farm laborers, including the fight against pesticides.
