Description

Kwanzaa Joy is designed to cultivate a conversation and movement in our African-American community inspired by African celebrations of heritage, new beginnings and cultural unity. We are excited to educate and empower our children and community.

Kwanzaa Joy Celebration is an event inspired by African traditions of heritage, new beginnings and cultural unity. Our goal is to educate and empower our children and community by providing an experience in equity and family engagement for the African diaspora living in Pomona Valley, San Gabriel Valley, and Inland Empire.

Our 4th Annual Kwanzaa Joy Celebration, taking place at Millard Sheets Art Center at Fairplex, will feature an array of gifted speakers, vendors, food, and art.

This is an engaging and inspiring event presented by City of Pomona Historic Preservation Commissioner Chara Swodeck in partnership with Fairplex and the African American Advisory Alliance (Pomona4As). This is a not-for-profit event, however ticket sales and sponsorship packages ensure all costs are met each year.
